Laurianne Enos

Partner

Laurianne's background in marketing and recruitment are ideal elements for a language services agency like Talking Heads®. Having left university with an honours degree in Design Management, Laurianne was able to apply these skills, plus industry experience, to the transformation of the Talking Heads® brand. Consolidating the excellent high quality services that were already being offered into a cohesive message has been the overriding element of Laurianne’s contribution so far.

Laurianne is creative, enthusiastic and brings as much business development expertise to clients, as she does to Talking Heads®. Currently Laurianne manages business development, project strategy and co-manages the company.

Marta Wright

Interpreting Manager

Marta is Polish and came to the UK in 2007. We are delighted when she chose to join Talking Heads®, to utilise her linguistic skills and is now a senior member of the team.

Marta expertly manages our linguists - their applications to join our team, their training sessions and quality testing management. Marta also manages the booking process - if you have booked an Interpreter from us, you will no doubt have spoken to Marta!

Marta's languages are Polish and English, with an understanding of Slovak and Czech.

There are some other things about Marta that you may not be aware of...

• She 'Zumbas' every week
• You may know her as Marta Porwich - she has recently got married to a lovely Doncaster boy - Adam. She'll be sticking around then...

Amna Kaleem

Translation Manager

Amna is originally from Pakistan and is a new addition to the Talking Heads team.

Originally settling in Manchester, she rather reluctantly crossed the Pennines but now, after two years, she feels right at home in the Steel City. Translation Manager by day and suburban housewife by night, Amna spends her days picking linguists’ brains, spotting typos, proofing artworks and cracking jokes when she is least expected to. The only thing she loves more than shortbread – and she loves her shortbread – is a linguist who replies within five minutes!

Thanks to her parents hailing from different parts of the sub-continent, Amna speaks Urdu and has good knowledge of Punjabi and Gujarati languages.

Amie Harrison

Accounts

Amie has been with us since 2010 and works with clients and linguists alike on the financial side of things. Not only does she work closely with clients to ensure their accounts are ship-shape and all the paperwork is organised, but she also manages the – literally - hundreds of transactions that go through Talking Heads® each month. Amie is very sweet and girly but underneath is strong and not to be messed with!

Amie is Sheffield born and bred and lives with her partner Kyle and their lovely little boy Leon.

Hui-chi

Linguist - Chinese

Hui-chi is just one example of the many, valued linguists that we work with regularly.

When she joined the team Hui-chi worked primarily as a translator and interpreter of both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. In addition to this, she has 10 years experience in teaching Chinese as a second language and has provided professional language services for Talking Heads clients, in both the public and private sector.

She has reinforced her experience as an English teacher by recently gaining a CELTA teaching qualification. Having lived and worked in Taiwan, China, Turkey and the UK, her experiences are truly international. She speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese (native), English and Turkish, and holds both a Masters degree and PhD in International Relations and East Asian Studies.

Siyamend

Linguist - Kurdish, Arabic

Siyamend is just one example of the many, valued linguists that we work with regularly.

Siyamend provides local face to face interpreting services in Kurdish, Arabic and English. As Siyamend arrived in the UK on his own, around 5000 miles from his family, he has first-hand experience of the cultural differences that are so important to understand when interpreting.

Siyamend is now a key figure in his community - an element that Talking Heads' clients find invaluable.

Kulvinder

Linguist - Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu

Kulvinder is just one example of the many, valued linguists that we work with regularly.

Kulvinder speaks Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and English and has a wealth of experience in community matters. She is a Special Constable for the Derbyshire Constabulary and has recently completed a university module covering Community Regeneration Development.

Very popular with staff and clients alike, Kalvinder is a great example of the high standard of linguists that Talking Heads builds relationships with.

Jan

Translator - German

Jan is just one example of the many, valued translators that we work with regularly.

Jan is a native German speaker who has lived in France and the UK. He has a degree in French and English from Bonn University and an MA in Interpreting & Translation from Salford (distinction).

Jan lives in between Germany and England, making him ideally positioned to assist Talking Heads with our language and cultural requirements.

Apart from being an all round 'good egg' and very humorous, Jan also epitomises German efficiency!
