SpeechBubble are a Belfast based company offering services to companies across the world. Having developed software that provides multilingual training (initially on construction sites across the world) SpeechBubble required a partner that could provide highly accurate, quick turnaround and cost effective translations.
The software can now be purchased ‘off the shelf’ (www.speechbubble.ie) providing training in Health & Safety, or be customised for your specific industry (www.speechbubble.ie/customise_it.php). For example, if you have a new piece of machinery at your factory, or new personnel guidelines that you need to get across to many people who speak a variety of languages.

TALKING HEADS®' SOLUTION
Talking Heads®’ initial work with SpeechBubble was highly intensive – learning about their requirements, their working patterns, their targets, and on a personal basis, getting to know key individuals, ranging from developers to sales managers.
To form this ‘meeting of minds’, we contribute our ability to provide many high quality linguists (who are experienced in a given field) at short notice. The nature of the work for Speech Bubble involves quick turnarounds, late night working and often many questions and queries. We are very happy to be able to provide this service - no matter who answers the phone to Speech Bubble, we all know them and are able to assist in any way we can.
What we did:
- Project managed all jobs so that key people at Bubble worked with key people at TH.
- Found the right people to work on each job, based on language, location, cultural and industry knowledge, experience, qualifications, delivery time, etc.
- Working hard to ensure that delivery is on time – sometimes throughout the night, we translated all the required texts.
- Taking our lead from our clients (and in some cases learning from them!), we provided text in XML format, for example.
- Friendly yet professional interactions via phone, email, Skype, etc., to ensure fluid relationships, honest conversations and professional outcomes.
- Support services such as conference call interpreting, translation for marketing materials and seminar presentations.
We look forward to an on-going working relationship with SpeechBubble as they grow to provide iPhone applications, signage and, of course, further on and offline multilingual training with their unique product.
