Face to Face - Simultaneous Interpreting

Simultaneous Interpreting is often used at conferences and large meetings where the Interpreter must interpret the language whilst the speaker continues to talk. This is either done through equipment; a microphone and earphones, or by using the ‘whispering’ technique where the interpreter whispers the translation of what is being said into the listener’s ear.

The practice of providing a simultaneous Interpreter often requires strict organisation as there are many factors to consider. Talking Heads® is able to provide this service.

EQUIPMENT

Talking Heads® is able to provide the necessary equipment and technical expertise to ensure your event runs smoothly - with all participants fully participating!

An engineer can be provided for the duration of the event, as well as the Interpreting 'booth' (the area where the Interpreter can sit and interpret through a microphone). Headphone sets can be provided 'per delegate' for listening purposes. These are usually infrared wireless sets. Other options / configurations are available.
